Imogene Pruitt, 86, of Haines City, died May 28, in Haines City. Mrs. Pruitt was born in Gadsden, Ala., and moved to Haines City in 1956.

Imogene Pruitt, 86, of Haines City, died May 28, in Haines City. Mrs. Pruitt was born in Gadsden, Ala., and moved to Haines City in 1956.


Mrs. Pruitt was a cosmetologist by trade and worked at various salons in Haines City before opening Imogene's Beauty Salon in the early 1970s. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

Her husband, Cecil Pruitt, precedes her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Juanita Harden and her husband, Gerald; sons, Larry Pruitt and his wife Dianne, Gary Pruitt and his wife, Deborah; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City. Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
