A former Miami Commissioner was sentenced to two years of probation Wednesday for two misdemeanor charges stemming from a fight with police officers.

Johnny Winton, 57, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery and disorderly intoxication charges. Felony charges against Winton were dropped.

As part of the agreement, Winton must abstain from alcohol, pay more than $2,000 in court costs and restitution and complete anger management courses.
