WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Stanford's Rob Grube shot a 6-under 64 on Wednesday to top the individual leaderboard and help the Cardinal take a two-stroke lead after the first round of the NCAA tournament.

Stanford, seeking its first team title since 1994, had a 5-under 275 total - with the top four scores from the five-man team counting in the standings - on the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club's Gold Course.

Daniel Lim added a 69 for the Cardinal, Zack Miller shot a 70, and Matt Savage had a 72.

Coastal Carolina was second at 3 under, followed by Minnesota, Florida, Texas (2 under), Charlotte (1 under), East Tennessee State (even), Georgia (2 over) and Michigan State, UCLA and Florida State (3 over).

Florida's Tim McKenney was second in the individual competition after a 66, and Minnesota's Bronson LaCassie, Florida State's Matthew Savage and Georgia Tech's Cameron Tringale followed at 67.
